So far you must have seen many 5 star and 7 star hotels with great views on earth, but have you thought that there can be a hotel which is not on earth but surrounded by the views of the solar system. If this hotel is not on earth but on space, you will probably be more thrilled. Yes, you must be feeling strange to hear, but the space company Orbital Assembly is working on this hotel. This US-based company has shared many information about its space hotel, on which it has been working since 2019.
Originally from California-based company Gateway Foundation, the design and features of this hotel were recently featured. The project is now being overseen by Orbital Assembly Corporation. According to the report, the orbital assembly is now preparing to launch not one but two space stations for the tourists. Voyager station (new name) will now have a capacity to accommodate 400 people.
It is targeted to start in 2027. At the same time, the new station has been named Pioneer Station and 28 people will be able to come in it. The company has set a target of starting it in the next three years i.e. in 2025.
Popular Space Tourism
Let us tell you that space tourism has become closer than ever before. In the last one year, many big players have come in this sector. Virgin founder Richard Branson has had a blast in suborbital space with his company Virgin Galactic. Star Trek actor William Shatner has become the oldest person in space with Blue Origin. But still it seems a bit difficult to go here just for vacation and roam.
Orbital Assembly’s Chief Operating Officer Tim Altore thinks that this bottleneck will also go away once space tourism starts. The trend of people will increase towards it and the number of people using it will also increase. He told that our goal has always been to create the possibility of large amount of people living, working and moving in space. Apart from traveling, we are also working in the office and living space on the space station. The house and office will be available for rent.
